If the only constant is change, why does it feel so hard to make progress?
It’s weird to feel at once blah and to see life moving around you while wondering how to engage with the world in a way that feels authentic, real, and with vivid color aliveness.
Just like a livable wage, you want more than a liveable life. You are not here to get by – to live a bare minimum life.
You want more, and you deserve to have what you want.
Status Quo is not (for) you.
In a world that promotes all the reasons to stay small, limit your potential, and fit into a prescribed box – your healing requires you to redefine who you are – not based on anyone else’s ideals but your own.
You are the only one who knows your lived experience. No one else can tell you how to be.
The supportive, nonjudgmental, safe space of therapy allows you to take a deep dive look at what you want and what is holding you back.
Dynamic Psychotherapy is an empowered change process.
I’m not suggesting it’s easy, but it’s worth it.
It requires disobedience. With deep respect for yourself, you will no longer tolerate the versions of you that others told you to be or even who you think you are today.
Beliefs are potent, and you get to choose which ones you want to keep and which ones you want to swap out for those that align with the new version of who you are becoming.
The “Disease of Insecurity” is rampant.
I should know because I used to suffer deeply from it.
Woven into our social fabric, it’s considered normal to strive for perfection, and anything less is a failure. This perspective keeps our light dim and anchored into the ritual of low self-esteem and lack of worth.
There is no way to shine bright, to feel the fullness of being alive, when your worth is in question.
Oof, that’s a big one. Worthiness is at the core of the healing work we do together.
There is Perfection in being Imperfectly Human.
Imagine feeling great about yourself, from the inside out and the outside in.
You’re not perfect (because pursuing perfection is a trap), and you fully accept and love the heck out of yourself. Because the truth is, in your “better” moments, when life is feeling good… you can feel the awesomeness of who you are.
The creative, fun, motivated, social, passionate, connected, brilliantly lit person that you are.
Through our work together, you get to explore even more of what lights you up as we also get to the root causes of what sends you into the low dips that feel so emotionally stunting and debilitating.
You have a right to burn bright and live out your purpose – I’m here to help!
About Me: The Person & Professional
Being human is fascinating work!
I’m deeply spiritual and recognize myself as an Infinite Soul living out a meaningful human life. At age 21, I left my East Coast upbringing and headed West with the personal question, “How can I be human on this planet?”
The start of this journey was tough. There were many dark times as I wondered if I would ever find a sense of inner peace, love, and any real answers to my question.
It’s less about words to me and much more about feeling the experience of aliveness in everyday occurrences. I was introduced to snowboarding at age 16, yoga at age 19, and “finally” found a therapist that “got me” at age 23.
Without knowing it, those days on the mountain and in the yoga studio ~ focused and body-aware ~ were the early days of my somatic healing. The unconditional high regard that my therapist provided healed many of my relational wounds. I learned that my thoughts weren’t facts and that the brokenness in my life was not irreconcilable.
My experiences encouraged me to become a therapist.
My passion for helping arose from my ability to heal with the guidance of a warm, compassionate, and competent therapist. Whether you are seeking therapy or are a therapist looking for support, I’m here.
I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University, and I am a Trauma-Informed therapist trained in somatic modalities and Certified as a Pause Breathwork Facilitator.
As much as I love my work…
…time away from it each week is vitally important. I LOVE my free time to create, socialize, and move my body. In the winter, I ski. In the warmer months, I downhill mountain bike.
And any time of the year, I’m making art in my studio, dancing to music with loved ones, being silly, and using all the expressive ways I choose to have fun.
